RACE TO MORWIN CUP
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Back again for the 2026 will be a points system to qualify for the MorWin Cup Team. The MorWin Cup is a Ryder Cup style match between Winkler and Morden members.
There will be a total of 5 events used this year to build up points and try to qualify for the team. Out of those 5 events, it will take your top 3 finishes and add those points together to get your total points for the year.
The five events that will be used this year are the 2026 Minnewasta Men's Open (June 14th), 2026 2-Person Scramble (TBD), 2026 Club Match Play Championship (July 3rd-5th), The Pembina Valley Classic (July 24th-26th), and the final event is the 2026 Club Championship (Aug 8-9th).
At the end of the five events, the top 7 in the points standings will qualify for the MorWin team. The other 5 spots will consist of, Assistant Professional Matt Loewen, and four captains' picks made by yours truly Greg Hesom.
In addition to the points system, the winner of the Match Play Championship, and the Club Championship will automatically earn a spot on the team.
